Whilst we are a small establishment in a far-flung out of the way location we need to adhere to a strict non-refundable deposit policy as cancellations affect us and the people who work here greatly. When we reserve a unit for you or your group, we turn away all other inquiries for those nights as we have agreed to hold them just for you. We are sure you can understand, it’s purely an economics choice, we just ask that you be sure about your timing.
However, we understand that accidents or emergencies do happen and Protea Ridge management will always, in the best interests of our guests, and in the hope of building guest trust, always leave a little wiggle room for when these rare occasions of sudden last minute cancellations do arise.
The following guidelines refer to group bookings (5 or more persons)
Cancellation 0-15 days – forfeit 100% of deposit
Cancellation 15-30 days – forfeit 75% of deposit
Cancellation 31 or more days – forfeit 50% of deposit
Cancellation prior to 32 days or more to booking will receive a full refund.
Small groups ie. couples and singles have a “free cancellation” up until 48 hours before their visit
NB – no cash accepted on premises
Payment by EFT OR CARD only. Not having access to pay by either of these methods will unfortunately deny you access to the Homestay.
